Chrome Uncrown IE as the Most Used Browser in the World
Google Chrome, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Firefox are three main browsers used in the whole world. As different people prefer different browsers, these three popular browsers always rivals to each other. With a good market foundation and a large number of Windows users, Internet Explorer, short for IE used to be the most popular, or in other worlds, the most used browsers in the world. However, according the related survey and reports, Google Chrome now has become the most popular browser all around the world, dethroning the IE.
Data from the market research company Net Applications shows that Google Chrome has 41.72 percent of the browser market share, and has ascended to be the most used browser, while IE, which used to be the No.1 now relegates to second place with the market share of 40.67%. According to the current trend, Chrome is expected to widen the differences in the browser market share accounting for more percentage.
Resources also show that in the April’s global browser market, the market shares of the five main browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari, and Opera) take up 41.72%, 40.67%, 10.14%, 5.08% and 1.97% respectively in the overall global market shares. The top 5 browsers remained the same, only with some reshuffling of the order, as we have mentioned that Chrome surpass IE as the No.1 and IE the second compared with the rank order in March.
In fact, another data shows that during the period from September 15 in 2015 to April this year, the market shares of Chrome and IE presented a completely opposite trend with the former’s increasing and the latter’s declining. Based on the different performance, it is natural that Chrome will take the place of Microsoft’s IE browser. Besides, some users also reveal that IE browser is just like overloaded with complex interface, yet Chrome provides users a neat and tidy interface.
