Apple’s Swift Playgrounds launched on Mac for the first time
Swift Playgrounds is a Swift language programming teaching application launched by Apple. It was first released for iPad in September 2016. Swift Playgrounds is simple to use, and the courses are step-by-step, helping people learn from scratch and get started with Swift programming. Coupled with the “Playgrounds” edit-and-get mode, each step of programming will display the corresponding results in real time, and through simple to complex programming steps, provide more rich gameplay.
Now Apple has used its development tool Catalyst to migrate Swift Playgrounds to the Mac. Not only did it bring new applications to macOS, it also showed developers a lot of ease in Catalyst’s cross-platform migration.
Swift Playgrounds for Mac is basically the same as the iPad version – trackpad for navigation. Courses are added and updated over time to ensure that users can learn all the latest knowledge. Third-party hardware developers will also create new scenarios, characters, and toys for it, keeping programming in Swift Playgrounds fun.
