In April macOS and iOS decline in market share
How are the two systems of Apple doing lately? According to NetMarkShare’s latest survey, macOS and iOS dropped market share in April.
The survey points out that in April, among desktop operating systems, macOS had 6.25% of global market share in China (Over 13% in the US). According to NetMarketShare’s statistics, 9.2% in April is its top market share in history. Windows still prevailed with 91.66% market share.
As for mobile operating systems, iOS had 31.06% market share in Apple, which is lower than 33.39% in March. By contrast, Android had 65.19%, Windows Phone had 1.59%, Java ME had 0.95%. What’s worth mentioning is that the top market share of iOS was 65.94% in July 2012.
The monthly survey of NetMarkShares doesn’t count the market share of sold computing device systems. On the contrary, they extracted visitor data from about 40,000 websites. Please note that NetMarkShare’s number doesn’t represent the sales.
