Whatsapp updates with low-data calls option that cutting down your phone bill
The newest Whatsap update seems to help you to save money on your phone call bill as it comes with a new low-data usage calling option.
As we have known, the messaging app is being invented the ability to make Skype-rival VolP calls, WhatsApp’s new update is aiming to not only save the monthly minutes, but also save your data allowance by using a low data mode.
The low-data calls option can be turned on and off in-app. It enables the users to see those with weak 3G connections and its constrictive data plans make the voice calls more convenient.
At present, the updated WhatsApp is only available to Android users, and the newest update is not being offered at the official Google Play Store yet. For those users who want to have the low-data calls employed well need to download the update’s APK file and install the software by manually.
The latest update will be able to have access for both iOS and Android users via app stores in the near future.
It is said that the low-data calls option do not impact much on in-all audio quality, reports by TechRadar.
There are other features added in the WhatsApp update, for instance, it offers the ability to mute chats for preset timeframes, the options to manually mark conversations as unread and it even supports the chance to chat to Google Drive.
