Mac Office will support macOS High Sierra through update
According to a report released by Microsoft, the latest version of Mac Office 2016 will be mainly used on macOS High Sierra, though its current version doesn’t support the system yet.
Microsoft announced that although Office 2016 15.35 and high versions will support macOS High Sierra, users still get to deal with some problems waiting for the update – Not all the Office functions are available, there would still be some stability issues that might cause application crashes. Microsoft suggests users backing up their data before trying the app. The company also required users to send feedback when testing macOS High Sierra and Microsoft Office.
The current version 15.34 of Mac Office 2016 was released on May 16. Lower versions will no longer support macOS High Sierra. Microsoft said they will terminate the support for Mac Office 2011 starting from October 10 this year, and there will be no update of any kind for the application.
