To All Beta Testers: macOS Sierra GM Download Available Now
If you’re a Mac user who is participating in either the Public Beta or Developer Beta testing programs, you may now download and install the macOS Sierra GM Candidate build, whose installer is about 5GB when being downloaded fresh from the Mac App Store.
Still, you should always back up a Mac before installing any system software update.
Typically A GM build is the final version of software, which will be available for wide release. You can choose to participate in the public beta program and gain access to the macOS Sierra GM build by signing your Mac up for the beta program. Likewise, for iPhone and iPad, you can opt to get the iOS 10GM download by enrolling your iOS devices into the program.
If you’d like to make a macOS Sierra GM USB installer with the new build, you may want to do so before actually starting the installation process.
On September 20 the final version of macOS Sierra will be officially released. By the time we’ll find out more about the new features.
