Not all the Mac devices support APFS (Apple File System)
Apple rolled out the new macOS High Sierra at the WWDC this week, and replaced the long-used HFS+ with APFS. In fact, the company has brought us this APFS at last year’s WWDC, and used it on iOS 10.3.
However, not all the Mac devices can used APFS. For that a user have shared some important notes of APFS being used on macOS High Sierra beta for the first time.
1. Mac computers which have only HHD don’t support APFS, even after the system is reinstalled (tested).
2. Some Mac computers which have 3TB Fusion drive and BootCamp may not support APFS.
3. Mac Pro will support APFS in the next version.
According to previous reports, the APFS will give users better experience, and enhance data security. So if your Mac has been updated to macOS High Sierra beta, you may have something to share on the Internet.
