BT promises to bring faster, 300Mbps broadband by 2020
Are you annoyed by the slow Internet connections? Good news from BT as it made promises to bring quadruple broadband speed by 2020.
It aims to provide the buffer-free steaming and engages to bring broadband speeds of 300-500Mbps to some 10 million homes for the nex five years.
BT offers the consumer-available Internet speeds top out at 76Mbps at the moment, while only a small amount of users can reach that speed when using BT broadband.
To reach the goal of moving the nation “from superfast to ultrafast” broadband by 2020, BT CEO Gavin Patterson has pledged to fasten its broadband speeds to be quadruple.
According to the statement he made at the Delivering Britain’s Future conference in London, he indicated the company wants to help to fasten the ultrafast future for Britain as well as take a firm stance to help the government to bring faster broadband speeds for the natives to enjoy modern day Internet services. At that time, the citizens will be able to enjoy high definition TV streaming and cloud computing.
BT also makes plans to increase its widespread broadband speeds. In answering to the recent criticism from its competitors, Patterson promised to improve the minimum speed requirements and offer a huge 1Gbps service if necessary.
