Twitter CEO makes public apologies to application developers
Twitter banned the third party applications in 2012 that led to a strained relations with developers for three years. Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter starts restoring its relations with third party application developers.
Twitter held the Flight conference in San Francisco on Wednesday. Dorsey addressed that:” the relations with third party application become a bit confused, complicated and unexpected. We would like to make sincere apologies for the inconvenience today. We hope to restore the relations with you. We are learning and listening to your suggestions.”
Dorsey hopes to attract more third party application developers to write applications for Twitter. Twitter indrectly banned many third party applications as it changed the regulations of how to use Twitter data. Now, Dorsey hopes the third party application developers can give feedback for Twitter product.
Dorsey was selected as Twitter’s CEO two weeks ago. He took some measures to make revolutions since taking office, including the streamline of workforce at 8% of its total workfoace last week and appointment of new directors.
Dorsey had been appointed as CEO before long the establishment of Twitter as one of the co-founders. He lost the CEO position in 2008. He came back to Twitter in 2011 and worked as administrative post.
He made focus on the mobile payment business of Square. Dorsey also works as the CEO of Square at present. Square is now working on the first IPO plan.
