Staples teams up with Sculpteo to offer online 3D printing service
As reported, Staples has offered 3D printing services at specific stores for some time. Now it is going to offer online 3D printing service for customers through a new online platform. With this way, it makes things easiser and has no need for a middle man.
Staples has cooperated with Sculpteo to run an online service. The customers can avail of this platform to send their feedback to supplis seller, and they can even customise designs and order 3D printouts without leaving their computer. It is more convenience than the past.
Behazad Soltani, the vice president of services, e-commerce for Staples addessed that the online 3D printing service is a great improvement for the company that offers an easier way to prototype with quick turnaround time as well as a reasonable price for their business cusomters
The online printing service offers an opportunity for beginners to experience and try 3D printing by choosing a favored existing model. It enables the users to get their own through the customisation options provided.
Staples was the first major retailers in the US to carry 3D printers. Date back to 2013, it launched in-store services in New York and Los Angeles.
It will release the new online service in the US, UK, France and Germany next week.
